CONSUMER REVIEW OF COSTCO PHOTO CENTER

OVERVIEW

Love/hate Costco print labs. It’s important to note that not all Costco print labs are the same. This caution applies to any print facility, but because I suggest Costco to my customers, I feel obligated to tell them. In my neighborhood (Phoenix/Scottsdale, AZ), there are many Costco stores. Two print excellent, one average. I believe an educated and quality-conscious crew is the key to exceptional outcomes at ANY print lab. If you’re local Costco Photo Center – Consumer print lab review Costco has a fantastic staff and calibrated equipment, it might be a terrific resource for tiny prints (810 and smaller). Who doesn’t appreciate quick gratification?

Costco has more than tiny print, as seen below. On Website, click “Photo Center” to see their whole product selection.

PRODUCTS/SERVICES

Two Costco’s I utilized for test prints used Fuji Crystal Archive Paper, which has a 40-year display rating. “Dark storage” photographs are rated higher. Excellent quality of picture made by Costco available on Costco promo code 10% off.

MOUNTING

Costco’s prints aren’t mounted. Framing and canvas prints are available.

FRAMING

In addition to printing, Costco (online) provides framing. This option is perfect if you want a framed, ready-to-hang print.

Black, Espresso, Silver, Gold, and Natural are available frame colors. I haven’t tested their frames, so I can’t vouch for their quality.

GALLERY WRAPED CANVASES

Costco sells gallery wrapped canvases, with a choice of picture or color wrap. However, outside black and white, their choices for wrap colors are very restricted.

OTHER PRODUCTS

Not only does Costco sell conventional prints and canvases, but they also have a large selection of additional things. Costco Photo Center – Consumer print lab review and they provide a wide variety of personalized products, including cards, picture albums, calendars, mugs, t-shirts, decorations, and more.

The majority of the “other” items may be purchased online for home delivery or in-store pickup.

GALLERY-WRAPPED CANVAS

The outcomes didn’t seem worth it to me. When I went to Costco #2 to pick up my prints, I spotted a lady picking up her canvas.

The paintings will be eye-catching in her house. So I purchased a 16×20 canvas from Costco by reading Costco Photo Center – Consumer print lab review. It’s not awful, really.  I’d hang the finished result in my house since ordering and delivery were effortless. Other than an Image Wrap option, their Gallery Wrapped Canvases only come in black or white. Not terrible, but not as versatile as custom color options.

OVERALL

I suggest Costco for 8x10s and smaller, but with a significant caution. They’re not equal, but worth trying. Before buying an album, I’d test print a few 5x7s. If they appear good, continue printing. If they make you say “eww,” try another Costco or print studio. Costco canvases are worth considering if you want an image wrap or a black or white wrap.

PRINTING AT COSTCO PHOTO CENTER

Costco sells bulk goods, not photos. Photo presents proves this. Digital picture printing businesses like Shutter fly provide a mile-long list of photo presents. Costco sells calendars and wall art.

Costco’s picture sizes reflect its buy-bigger mindset. Huge 40 x 60-inch canvas prints are possible. Canvas prints and purses are two of our favorite picture presents from this facility. For simple prints, you may print from wallet sizes to 20 x 30 inches.
